What is Battle of the Books? The Battle of the Books Club is a competition of the mind. How many details about a book can you remember?

What is Battle of the Books? We meet at 7:45 on Thursdays. See the agenda for the schedule. Put it in your calendar!

What is Battle of the Books? Read as many of the selected 14 books as you can. All 14 books need to be covered by your team. The books have a wide range of reading levels & interests. Minimum of 3 novels!

What is Battle of the Books? Form into teams of 4-6 people. A team of 5 is a good size. A team of six is the best. Pick a team name & team captain.

What is Battle of the Books? Elimination competitions will be in March/April here @HMS. The winners will face off for top dog at HMS. The winners receive gift certificates for use @Barnes & Noble.

What is Battle of the Books? The winning 7 th grade & 8 th grade teams attend the Central Jersey 7 th & 8 th grade competition at Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School in May where we face-off against 10 other schools.

What is Battle of the Books? In the competition your team is asked a question about a detail from one of the books. Your spokesperson must first give the correct title. (worth 5 points) If your title is correct you may receive extra points by giving the author’s name. (3 points)
