2. What is your heart’s desire? Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Most if not all young singles desire to find the right mate with whom they will spend the rest of their lives with. Young girls imagine what their wedding will look like (and their mom’s plan what the wedding will look like as well). Young boys probably imagine more what their wedding night will be like.

3. How do you know? But how do you know if you’ve found the one? What are the things to look for? To avoid? To seek after? To run away from? We can consult the latest magazines, movies and music, but these will just lead us to unrealistic, unhealthy and ultimately unhappy images of married life. Or better yet, we can consult God’s word to find out. One thing is for sure: God has a perfect plan for us and he has a perfect match for us. We need only to ask him. But in our asking, we must make sure to seek him (the Lord) first and foremost. Delight in the Lord first, know him, love him, worship him, serve him. In doing so, you will draw nearer to his heart, and eventually, to his perfect plan and mate for your life.
