3 a bit of background… Crackerjackpot needed a new website! What we had just wasn’t doing the job Challenge to get the support of the board, we were the first to do something like this. Launched at the end of last year This is what the website looks like…

5 what has worked well…what hasn’t gone according to plan! The bad news… Paid search (Google Adwords, display ads etc) have generated traffic but very few conversions Integration with our database Search Engine Optimisation The good news… Using our own channels to promote Mobile Optimisation PR Social Media (especially Facebook)

7 the results (as of 31 august 2013) Analytics: Total Visits – 9,360 Unique visits – 6,472 30.9% - Returning Visitors 69.1% – New visitors iOS Operating system (iPhone/iPad) – 2,217. This equals 23.69% of total users. Android Operating system – 881. This equals 9.41% of total users.

8 the results (as of 31 august 2013) An average of 22 new members per month Total of 215 online transactions New DD members – 140 giving an average lifetime value of £25,200 Best performing month was April – 46 online signups in 1 month, 14 in just one day! Variations with seasons, December and June/July have been slow. Can be attributed to holidays etc.

9 what we are going to do next Email marketing – need to build up our database Videos and rich content Link building and improving SEO Working with affiliates Continuing with social media presence Improving CRM

10 conclusions A stand alone website is well worth the investment Don’t underestimate the man hours that are needed to manage it Good PR stories and social media are key – use your hospice channels not a standalone lottery account. Pay per click advertising is very tricky, spend your budget wisely on this Good luck!
