Karl Marx Marx was born in Germany in 1818. In the 19th century,he led the worker’s movement. Together with Engels, in 1848, Marx wrote the book “Communist Manifesto”. In 1864, he founded the First Inter- national in London. He published “Das Kapital” in 1867. He devoted all his life to revolutionary cause. (1818-1883)

Friedrich Engels Engels was a German socialist and political philosopher. He spent most of his adult life in England as the manager of cotton mills.He met (1844) Karl Marx, and collaborated with him on many works, notably the Communist Manifesto(1848). He died in London in August,1895. (1820-1895)
