2. A.A.Dubenskiy is a founder of our city. There isn’t enough information about his life. It is well known that he Was born in aristocratic family. But his ancestors were poor. In his early age he grew up without parents, afterwards, he lived at his relatives, who lived in Moscow.

3. In 1623 military man Yakov Khripunov sent Andrew to find a comfortable place for building a fortress on the Yenisey. In 1625 tsar Michael Fyodorovich consented the building of the fortress. But in 1627 the expedition led by Andrew moved there to start the work. And in 1628 fortress was constructed and called Krasnyi Yar. During the building of the fortress Dubenskiy demonstrated his military and diplomatic abilities. Practically nothing is known about later years of his life. He died at the end of 50th of the18th century.

4. People remember Andrew. In 1997 the monument to Dubenskiy was constructed near the Medical Academy. The designers of this monument were from Siberia: the architect Michael Merkulov and the sculptor Vladimir Girich. On the 9 th of September in 2004 renovate bronze monument was opened. It points out to the most comfortable and successful place for building the Krasn. fortress. Nowadays a street and bridge are called after his name.
