How to Prepare for Interview -1 Make sure you get an important information: The full names and titles of those who will be interviewing you. The date, time & location of the Interview. (Do “test run” trip if it’s necessary.) Any specific items you will need to bring to the interview.

How to Prepare for Interview Organize the Information: 1. Yourself & your goal Present a clear idea of your purpose in pursing the position. 2.Your resume Practice elaborating on the information listed on your resume. 3.Prepare for questions Know the company, its service & products. Obtain a copy of the job description.

How to get prepared for Interviewed ~ How to be Dressed~ Be neat & professional. Do not wear too much jewelry. Do not create distractions with trendy items. Do not wear facial piercing, expensive makeup & short skirt. Men: Be clean shaven.

~ On the Day of Interview ~ Keep your stress down. Arrive 15 – 20 min early. Do not appear frazzled when you arrive. Be courteous to everyone you talk with. Remember names of any administrative staff.

~ During Interview ~ Greet your interviewer with a smile and a firm handshake. Do not use first name. Maintain eye contact. Lean slightly forward as you sit. Minimize “talking with your hand.” Smile and take care of your nervous habit. Speak slowly and clearly. Sample questionsSample questions.

What to do after interview ~ Thank You Letter~ Convey gratitude for time spend in the interview. Restate your interest and qualifications. Indicate eagerness to hear from them. Impress them by including something you learned during the interview. Sample Thank You Letter

Follow-up Letters ~Letter of Acceptance~ Accept the offer formally including the position title. Refer to letter outline offer or phone call doing the same. Repeat conditions of the position: salary and terms of employment. Express your appreciation and enthusiasm about joining the company. Thank them for their time during the hiring process.
