WHAT IS POLLUTION??? Definition: Any changes in the environment which results in its harmful effect is called “Pollution” of the environment and the agents which causes the pollution is called the “pollutants”.

TYPES OF POLLUTION There are different types of pollution such as: Air pollution Water pollution Soil pollution Noise pollution Marine pollution Thermal pollution

AIR POLLUTION The imbalance in the quality of air which will cause bad effect on the living organism on earth. Sources of Air Pollution Domestic burning of wood Industrialization Deforestation Mining, volcanic eruption Automobile emissions

WATER POLLUTION It is defined as addition of any substance in water which will change its properties. Sources of water Pollution Throwing of industrial waste in water Agricultural waste Domestic waste are thrown into the water Roadside waste

Waste are directly Thrown into the water System, which are responsible for water pollution Contaminated water of mining site being pumped to a Lake

SOIL POLLUTION Soil is getting polluted day by day due to addition of toxic substances in the soil. Sources of soil Pollution industrial waste are dumped in into the soil. Mining Agricultural waste Toxic chemicals gets added to the soil.

NOISE POLLUTION Unwanted sound which causes hazards to the living organisms. Sources of noise Pollution Industrial noise Noise due to public Aircrafts noise Noise due to loud speaker, music etc.

How to control pollution?? By Planting more and more tree. By controlling vehicular emissions By filtering emissions from industries so that it will not pollute the environment. By proper sewage treatment By using proper disposing of waste. Recycling of materials used.
