October 26 through November 2, 2015 at 5PM Teachers should work in the BCPS One gradebook to update student grades. Teachers should work in STARS to enter Comments and complete the Learning Skills/Behavior, Program Services and Additional Reports sections as appropriate. Note: When a student is withdrawn from a class, the student is archived in the BCPS One gradebook. Once a student has been archived, teachers will not be able to add or edit grades. Therefore, it is important for teachers to maintain their gradebook at the end of the quarter. If a teacher needs to add or edit grades for a withdrawn/archived student the teacher will need to calculate the grade outside of BCPS One and then enter the accurate grade in STARS. This only applies to students who are withdrawn from a class between October 26 and the close of the grading window. Elementary Grade Posting Procedures and Timeline Updated 10.13.15 3

November 2, 2015 at 5PM Grade 3 – Grade 5 Classes: The quarterly Achievement Grades calculated in the BCPS One gradebook will be pulled from the BCPS One gradebook and pushed into the corresponding class Achievement Grade section in STARS for all students actively enrolled in the class. Grade 2 Classes: Teachers will use the grades entered into the BCPS One gradebook to determine a quarterly Achievement Grade for students. Teachers will then enter the Achievement Grade into the corresponding Achievement Grade section in STARS. If a student is withdrawn from the class between October 26 and November 2, teachers will need to manually enter the quarter achievement grade in STARS since the student will be archived in the grade book. November 3, 2015 through Date Determined by the Principal Teachers should work in STARS to confirm, update and or enter the quarterly Achievement Grades, Comments, Effort Codes and Domain Subject Codes posted there. If a teacher chooses to assign a quarterly achievement grade that is different than the one calculated in the BCPS One gradebook, the change should be made in STARS. Date Determined by the Principal Elementary school principals will establish a school- based deadline for the completion of grade and comment entry in STARS by teachers.
