How To Use Google Spreadsheet

1. Create a GMail account if you do not already have one To create a GMail account: 1. Go to mail.google.commail.google.com 2.Click "Create an account"

2. Go to the Google Docs website 1.Go to docs.google.com docs.google.com 2.Sign in using your GMail email address and password

3. Create a new spreadsheet 1.Click on "Create New" to open the drop-down menu 2.Click on "Spreadsheet"

4. Input Data Into Spreadsheet Type in numbers into cells, and use "Formulas" button to add, multiply, subtract, etc.

To Create A Column Graph Of Your Data 1. Highlight both the category names and the values on your spreadsheet (A1-A5, and B1-B5 in the example) 2. Click insert, then choose chart on the dropdown menu

Creating A Column Graph Of Your Data cont. 1.Choose "Columns" in the "What type?" section, and choose a sub type. 2. Enter a horizontal axis label, and a vertical axis label 3. Click "Save Chart"

1. In the First Semester Scores worksheet, in cell F17, enter a formula to calculate the weighted average of the first student’s four exams. Use the weights found in the range C8:C11, matching each weight with the corresponding exam score. Use absolute cell references for the four weights. Formula Selected Cell (F17)

2. Copy the formula in cell F17 into the range F18:F52. (Hint: You can use AutoFill) F18:F52 Formula

3. In cell B5, enter a formula to count the number of final scores in the range F17:F52.

4. In cell D8, use the MEDIAN function to calculate the median or middle score for the first exam.

5. In cell E8, calculate the maximum score for the first exam.

6. In cell F8, calculate the minimum score for the first exam.

7. In cell G8, calculate the range of scores for the first exam, which is equal to the difference between the maximum and minimum score.

8. Repeat Steps 5 through 8 for each of the other two exams, the final exam, and the overall weighted score.

9. Use conditional formatting to highlight the top 10 scores in the range F17:F52 in a light red fill with dark red text.
