4 4 Style of these two courses n Advanced Databases l Mode: Lecture + exercises l Materials: Extensive slideset + original literature (mostly basic) l Evaluation: ongoing, homeworks (models, programs, reports, oral presentations, peer-review) n Current Trends in Databases l Mode: –The Database specialisation‘s equivalent of Capita Selecta –Mini-workshops together with U Antwerp and U Hasselt, mixed student teams l Materials: Original literature (basic to advanced) l Evaluation: ongoing, presentation and co-presentation, teamwork exercises, discussion, written homework
