The Center for the Promotion of Healthy Lifestyles and Obesity Prevention To work with schools and communities in developing new strategies to promote children’s health and reduce obesity. To stimulate and support faculty research on children’s health, especially research that addresses urgent community needs. To provide additional internship opportunities for students where they can “learn while doing” as they assist with community programs and faculty research. To evaluate and influence policies that affect children’s physical activity and nutrition.
