Overview Prostate Cancer is a malignant neoplasm of the Prostate Gland
The Prostate is one of the three glands in the male which produces semen. It is the most common cause of cancer death in men over 75 years of age. Very rare in men under 40.

Case Study/Symptoms Hakuna Matata, Age 34, Black came into my ER complaining of hematuria and hematospermia.

Causes The most common causes (indications) of prostate cancer are:
Being African American Eating diets high in animal fat Smoking Drinking alcohol Hereditary Being around paint and other noxious chemicals During his patient history I discovered that he was a habitual smoker who worked as a house contractor. His uncle died from prostate cancer.

Diagnosis I conducted the following tests on Mr. Matata Anal probe
Urine analysis Blood Tests MRI of the Pelvis It was concluded from these tests that he had Stage 1 Prostate Cancer

Treatment We discussed the various pros and cons of various treatments
He decided that Surgery was the best option We underwent a partial prostatectomy.

Prognosis Most men diagnosed with Stage 1 Prostate Cancer live ________ years. Mr. Matata’s case, he unfortunately suffered from Erectile Dysfunction from the surgery, but the cancer was eliminated. He died a few years later from a blood clot as a result of taking Viagra to treat his ED problems.
