2 Statistical Manual The need for statistics is brought into the mainstream of the Grants 2009 – 2014 Statistical evidence will guide implementation, learning, change, reporting and communication. 3 Statistical Manual Definitions and explanations for the statistical concepts and terms used for planning, reporting and implementation of the Grants. Information about programmes under the Grants shall be registered in the Documentation, Reporting and Information System (DoRIS) to support the management and documentation of the Grants. 3

6 Project information Programme Operators are responsible for submitting information related to each approved project, and to maintain the information updated throughout project implementation http://www.eeagrants.org/id/3192 6

8 Project information cont. Project objective - A project shall have one project objective. The project objective shall be identical to the programme outcome that the project contributes to Project outcome - A project shall have (preferably only one) one outcome. A project outcome shall be identical to a programme output that the project contributes to 8

10 Project information cont. Project sector code - sector codes track project expenditures to a sector in the beneficiary country: “To which sector are the funds directed?” The sector code shall be entered by the Programme Operator, one sector code for each project.  Exception - Under PA 10, Funds for Non-Governmental Organisations, a project may be assigned two sector codes. 10

11 Project information cont. Project target groups Project geographical code Project measures - Indicate one main project measure, and up to two secondary project measures for each project. Specific project information: Research, Scholarships Project Policy Markers (gender equity, anti- corruption) 11

12 Project information cont. Project results summary - The Programme Operator is responsible for registering a summary of - Expected results at start, and - Actual achievements at the completion of the project 12
