Ethnic Minorities An ethnic group (or ethnicity) is a group of people whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage, often including a common language, a common culture (like a shared religion) and a common ancestry.

Han Han are an ethnic group native to China and are the largest single ethnic group in the world. Han were descended from the ancient Huaxia tribes of northern China. Throughout the history of China, Chinese culture has been heavily influenced by Confucianism.

In addition to a diversity of spoken language, which were all descended from a common Old Chinese ancestor, there are also regional differences in culture among Han Chinese. For example, China's cuisine varies from Sichuan's famously spicy food to Guangdong's Yam cha and fresh seafood.
