Data Licensing Types Open (no license) –Web, publicly available –Must be overtly stated that you can do anything you want with it. Most of the time it’s intended this way, but depending on what you are doing, you should ask permission

Data Transfer Can’t give away data Can’t bring data with you when you graduate Can’t do analysis for anyone –Analogy is if you downloaded a licensed song and created the sheet music, and then played it for someone to use…both the sheet music and the tune you play are not yours and not yours to transfer

Just because you have access to the data, does not mean you can do what you want with it…web is a perfect example of this
