Reader's Theatre The performance of a literary work by an individual or group, wherein the text is read expressively, but not fully staged and acted out. (Reader's Theater, 2006)

Purpose of Reader's Theatre Reader's theatre motivates reluctant readers. Increasing understanding of what is being read. Expresstion and fluency can f. Allow a student to read with expression and vocal interpretation. (Scovill, 2013)

Purpose of Reader's Theatre Frequency words. Increase their reading speed. Learn how to phrase and chunk words in sentence. (Tompkins, 2010)

Reader's Theatre in Five Easy Steps 1.Choose a prepared script. 2. Identify the speaking parts. 3.Assign parts to the kids. 4.Highlight the parts and rehearse the script. 5.The last step is performing. (Scovill, 2013)
