A TeachMeet is CPD run for teachers, by teachers. Events contain ‘Nano’ or ‘Micro’ presentations from teachers on interesting resources, concepts or approaches they use in their classroom. They offer excellent ongoing CPD and are a fabulous opportunity to network. So come on all you Edge Hill NQTs! Share your outstanding practice and enhance your professional profile.

Feedback from 2014/2015 It has been really helpful to take a step back and reflect on my teaching practice It has given me lots of ideas about developing change in my own teaching Reinforced my desire to improve as a teacher Helped me understand the NQT Year and what I need to do

Edge Hill University: University of the Year I think that NQT's benefit from the well-structured conferences and support that is offered. Having spoken to other NQT's from other leading University's the transition from graduating to becoming NQT's is not supporting. As NQT's from Edge Hill this I have felt for me personally has been very beneficial on my CV and at interviews due to the credibility of the PGCE. As an NQT I have now become more involved at events and conferences and this has in a small space of time developed me as confident practitioner in my job and also as an Individual. My learning and teaching skills have advanced in that I have developed socially and educationally and keep up to date with research and educational related topics. I feel privileged when I talk to others about being part of Edge Hill’s NQT programme and feel a sense of pride and specialism in these being made available to me and the best thing is that these are free. My CPD has developed immensely in my first term of teaching and having the support network from Edge Hill has influenced this.
