(present tense) estar + present participle When you want to say that an action is happening now, use the present progressive. (yo) estoyestamos (nosotros) (tú) estás x (él,ella, ud) estáestán (ellos,ustedes) Álamo

(present tense) estar + present participle To form this tense, use: the present tense of estar + present participle To form the present participle of a verb, drop the ending of the infinitive and add –ando (-ar) or – iendo(-er/-ir) - ar verbsesperar+andoesperando -er verbscomer+iendocomiendo -ir verbsescribir+iendoescribiendo Álamo

NOTE: When the stem of an –er or –ir verb ends in a vowel, change the –iendo to –yendo. leer = leiendo leyendo oír = oiendooyendo creer = creiendo creyendo Álamo

The e i stem-changing verbs have a vowel change in the stem. Pedir pidiendo Servir sirviendo vestir vistiendo Álamo

Some other verbs also have a vowel change in the stem. Decir diciendo Venir viniendo Dormir durmiendo Álamo

Place pronouns before the conjugated form of estar or attach them to the end of the present participle. Add a accent when you attach a pronoun. Ex. Me estoy vistiendo. Estoy vistiéndome. Álamo
