What is the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA)? A not for profit organisation that has over 8000 members and growing The only association that looks after and supports the concerns of the veterinary profession A network of veterinary related interest groups united under one banner

Why join the AVA? The only organisation representing your profession Joining forces is the only way to influence governments and the community on issues that matter to you. The AVA keeps you connected to your fellow veterinarians, as well as to the cutting edge of science. There are 21 Special Interest Groups to help you grow and develop as a professional.

Student Awards AVA Student Award recognises students, who through their academic work and participation in student affairs, are considered to be an asset to the student body, the veterinary profession and the association. AVA Prize for Undergraduates awarded to outstanding students in the subject of veterinary pathology. Don Kerr Veterinary Student Award for academic achievement and exceptional commitment to cattle medicine from a final year student from one of the veterinary schools.
