Elements of Storytelling Storytelling– the telling or writing of stories Stories- a narrative, either true or fictitious, designed to interest, amuse, or instruct the hearer, viewer or reader.

Characters- people in the story Protagonist-the leading character, the hero, the person we are rooting for (we are PRO them) Antagonist- a person who is opposed to, struggles aga inst, or competes with another; opponent; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FN3YaybNJ2s

Setting-the place and time in which a story takes place

What is happening Obstacles/Problems-something that obstructs or hinders progress. Something that gets in the way. Nearing the end… Climax:a decisive moment that is of maximum in tensity or is a major turning point in a plot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKCJ0d7jxtQ Resolution: is the part of the story's plot line in which the problem of the story is resolved or worked out. This occurs after the falling action and is typically where the story ends. Lesson/Theme: something from which a person learns or should learn; an instructive example:
