Turns your iPad into a recordable whiteboard. Add photos from your photo stream or directly from the camera, annotate with your own handwriting or add text. Record your voice while interacting with your images and text. Share your videos with others.

as an assessment tool Allows students to demonstrate their own knowledge of a topic or concept in their own way. Can be saved and replayed again later. Can be shared on blogs, wikis and in edmodo.

Mathematics…. Have students take a photo and then talk about the mathematics they can see. Use a photo to demonstrate or discuss a specific concept. Angles example. Angles example Ask students to demonstrate a particular strategy E.g. long multiplication algorithm Take a photo of a hands on activity they’ve completed and then talk about the process. E.g. A symmetrical design using pattern blocks.

English…. Have students create something in a drawing/creation app and then record an oral description to go with it. Story exampleStory example Handwriting – Students could demonstrate the formation of letters and numbers. Insert a piece of writing into the app and have students read or identify parts e.g. Where is the beginning of the sentence, can you find a verb for me, why does this noun have a capital letter?

Other KLAs…. Record an explanation or a concept to share with the class. Murder Under the Microscope example. PD/Health – Record a safety message. Injured toy example.Injured toy example. Insert a map and then have a student give directions from one place to another, recording their route.

How do I get started? Make an account on the Educreations website or via the app. You can access all of the videos created under your account on your dashboard.dashboard From there you can get direct link to each video or the embed code to put it in a blog or wiki.wiki

Grab an iPad. Create an Educreations account. Take a photo or find one using a web browser. Record a short video. Upload it to your account by clicking on the share arrow. Have fun!
