What is a Bower?  The Bower was an attractive and private room intended for the Lady of the Medieval castle.  Often decorated with colourful tapestries, furs bright covers and pillows.  The Lady of the castle was attended in the Bower by her ladies in waiting. 16. 10% of ticket sales for the Princess Bower room and 5% from all Ticketed membership sales will be donated to the Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.  The Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation is a Newcastle (Hunter) based and founded non-profit organisation, which raises much needed funds to provide information and support for women and men diagnosed with, or being treated for breast cancer in the Hunter, and for their families.  The Foundation is unique as all monies raised are used to support women, men and their families of the Newcastle and Hunter Region only.
