Conflict Styles

Conflict Styles—Competing(My Way) Ensure that you win the argument. Argue your point and do not concede any points. Fight to the finish if you must.

Conflict Styles—Collaborating(Our Way) Talk and listen to the other party. Discuss and clarify goals & agreement. See each other's positions.

Conflict Styles—Avoiding(No Way) Pretending that it doesn't exist. Minimize the differences Or refrain from engaging in what seems to be an inevitable argument.

Conflict Styles—Accomodating (Your Way) Accepting her/his point of view or suggestion. Make peace to get past this sticking point. Allow the other to have his/her way.

Conflict Styles—Compromising (Neither Way) Give in on each side. Finding a middle way. Accepting that neither side will gain everything. Elements of all styles.
