How can students with disabilities be best served? Pre-Post- 1. Identify student strengths and weaknesses (getting to know the students). Identify individual strengths, challenges, and unique experiences of students, and then differentiate based on knowledge. 2.Students need to be included in the general ed. setting. Some interchangeability between “inclusion” and “LRE.” Inclusion needs to occur insofar as it represents the least restrictive environment. Where students are included in the general ed. setting, differentiation must be in place. Some distinction between “LRE” and “inclusion.” Importance of teacher training indicated. 3.
