One of 428 UWF students who received the First Generation Scholarship during the spring 2009 semester. One day hopes to establish a scholarship fund of her own for UWF students who come from low socio-economic backgrounds with a big dream for their future. “My mother, a single mother from a family of single mothers, has always instilled in me the value of an education. As the first in my native Floridian family to attend college, I am an inspiration to my family, proving that you can do anything if you just dream big enough. ” – Ashley Burton
