Oral Presentation Form a group with 4 members in a group Options: individual, pair, or trio Choose your favourite theme: entertainment, sports, customs, environment, and social Then choose a topic of your presentation based on the theme you’ve chosen The topic MUST be approved by the lecturer

The objective of the presentation To share interesting or new information about your topic with people So, when you do the research, find any information that would attract audiences’ interest Don’t forget to keep all your references list and submit them together

Continued Examples Theme: Entertainment Topic: Reality TV programmes Title: Reality TV shows have produced least talented artistes. Theme: Sports Topic: Traditional games in Malaysia Title: Schools should include traditional games in sports activities Theme: Customs Topic: Black magic Title: The use of black magic as an alternative medication.

What to do next? Prepare an outline of your presentation Outline Theme: Topic: Title: Introduction: Background of the topic Contents: 3 interesting points/3 points of elaboration Conclusion: Conclude your presentation with an important message/moral value

How to conduct the oral presentation? Record your presentation using a video recorder Please make sure that your recording is clear (audio + visual) Each member of the group MUST do the presentation The length of the presentation: 10-15 minutes per group

What do you submit? A CD that contains your oral presentation A hard copy of your PowerPoint slides Put them in an envelope PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE PRESENTATION IS SAVED IN THE CD. OR ELSE, I WILL AWARD ‘0’ BECAUSE I CANNOT GRADE YOUR ORAL PRESENTATION. DO CHECK YOUR WORK THOROUGHLY BEFORE HANDING IT IN.

When do I need to submit my topic for lecturer’s approval? During the next face-to-face session (30 th March 2013) What do you need to prepare? The outline of your presentation Outline Theme: Topic: Title: Introduction: Background of the topic Contents: 3 interesting points Conclusion: Conclude your presentation with an important message/moral value
