4. WHAT WE DID Civic engagement means working to make a difference in the life of our communities and developing the combination of knowledge, skills, values and motivation to make that difference. It means promoting the quality of life in a community, through both political and non-political processes. Civic Engagement Speaker Series Pilot Project Date/Time: Tuesday, December 9 th at 8am Speakers: ABLDP, CPS Energy, Rackspace, KGBTexas, City Council District 8 Audience: Seven 3rd Grade classrooms Topic: 3 Simultaneous 1-hr sessions re: Civic Engagement
