SIP:All teachers at Reitz will use a common strategy to teach the identification of main ideas and supporting details in class assignments lesson plans and coursework. 3 SIP-LCP Data Review Students struggle to understand fundamental math concepts. 4 SIP-LCP Data Review Students must write and be assessed on common rubric. SIP:All students in the 9 th – 12 th grades will write an essay that is graded using the IDOE-like writing rubric. All Grades/All Classes Fall Benchmark: 98% Fall Results: 96% Winter Benchmark: 99% Winter Results: 97% End of Year Goal: 100%

5 SIP Considerations SIP 1: Reading  9 th Grade NWEA Reading flat-lined.  Achieve 3000 may have slowed use of NWEA webpage.  Examine sustained reading period for improvement. SIP 2: Math  9 th Grade Math Acuity did not meet goal.  Use of Catch-Up Math to address skill work.  Examine data to for improvement. SIP 3: Writing  Continue to require essays each grading period in all classes.  Improve the real-world connection to the course subject matter.  Meet with new teacher 2 nd semester for follow-up of rubric.

6 RTI—Achieve 3000  Clear Lexile growth in classes that use Achieve 3000.  Significant Lexile growth in Inclusion classes.  More English 9 are using than US History.  Where there is double use, we see more improvement. ___________________________________________  9 th English Lab--7Lexile Growth = 198 points  9 th Grade InclusionLexile Growth = 73 points  US History InclusionLexile Growth = 63 points

11 Questions  Could Achieve 3000 be used as the sustained reading program during HR?  Why not illustrate the ECA Algebra Pass Rates with the middle school and high school side by side so that the sum of the students passing is easier to understand?  Could we arrange for PD in the summer to build a curriculum website for English 10 & Algebra 1?
