2. The Battle Of Philadelphia The Battle of Philadelphia began on October 4, 1777 The Battle of Philadelphia had two battles with in it. The first being The Battle of Germantown in German Town, Pennsylvania. The second one that was fought with some of the most military troops was First Troop of Philadelphia City Cavalry.

3. Events from the Battle September 11 th - At that point Washington had lost to the British in other battles between the two countries. October 3 rd - The first set of American troops began marching to Germantown. October 4 th - All of the Americans went to Germantown but were to late.

4. Key People General Howe- He was the leader or Commander of the British. General Washington- He was the leader or Commander of the Americans when we fought against the British.

5. Outcome of the Battle The battle was by far won by the British. The British had 2,612 sick and about 850 wounded. The Americans were not counted, no one knows how many actually died.

6. Results of the Battle Because of the British winning the Americans were killed but no one really knows how many. Hundreds of solders were brought to the “potter’s field” which is were they got buried. They were placed in a ditch, because of a rain they were re-buried and put in Washington Square.
