2. In the 2009-10 Policy Address, the Chief Executive Donald Tsang introduced several measures concerning solid waste management. They include the extension of the landfills, the construction of Integrated Waste Management Facilities (IWMF) as well as a recycling centre for food waste. Recently, the proposed sites and the relevant proposals introduced by the authorities have aroused public concern. People from different sectors have also expressed their views and requests through various ways and channels. Introduction
