Game (15 copies) -30 copies of Repasito Sheet - To practice yesterday’s vocabulary words, students will complete this Matching Activity. Answers will be written on their Repasito Sheet and while students are working, I will walk around and check with flashcard homework. I will use popsicle sticks to have random students give their answers.Matching ActivityRepasito (5 minutes) Childhood/ Toys vocabulary -Ask and answer simple questions and give reasons for answers. -Talk about personal preferences, emotions and opinions with some explanation. -Identify childhood experiences in the target culture. -Participate in children's games practiced in the target culture. Describe people, places, and situations in the past using the imperfect tense

I will go through the PowerPoint and students will yell out word in Spanish or they may write it down. (5 minutes) PowerPoin 2.Next, we will continue with the vocabulary PowerPoint and learn #27-46 as we finish the vocabulary list. As we are going through the vocabulary words, question students -Por lo general, ¿quién se porta bien? De niño, ¿quién era consentido/tímido/generoso? (20 minutes)vocabulary PowerPoint vocabulary list 3.Once students have #27-46 filled in on their vocabulary list, I will pass out three different colored highlighters and ask them to go through each word and decide if it is a noun, verb, or adjective like we did yesterday. Nouns will be highlighted in yellow, verbs in blue, and adjectives in pink. (5 minutes) 4.Lastly, to review the vocabulary, students will choose a partner to play the SLAM! Game. Students will spread the cards out on their desk Spanish side up. I will yell our a word in English and the first person to correctly slam the card gets to keep it as a point. The cards become less and less as the game continues. Modification: students can yell the word if unable to hit the card. (10 minutes)SLAM! Game Closure/AssessmentHomework Think-Pair-Share: Look at your vocabulary list and think of your favorite word. Tell the person next to you the word, what it means, and why you like it. Partners will then share with the class what the other person picked. Students will make flashcards for vocabulary words #1-26. They have the option to use my flashcard sheet, index cards, or online using StudyBlue’s digital flashcard maker (see screenshot) and print a copy. When practicing them, they should separate them into “Know” and “Don’t Know” piles.flashcard sheet
