For airplanes –Airplanes are safer because crashes are lesser –Airplanes have professionals flying them Against airplanes –There are 100,000 cars for every 1 airplane. So if we create a baseline, airplanes would be as unsafe as cars So, what is the truth?

Ltd.2009-03-0910 Example: “Perception” influences your choice of what is “safe” and “unsafe” In 2006, in India there was a huge controversy around pesticides in Cola There was huge coverage in media (TV, print and internet) Media undoubtedly influences the way we think (perception) Most participants in the training provided “what they saw in the media” as the reason as to why they considered cola unsafe!
