SM: #10. Paper Airplane Lab
Scientific Processes Used: Formulating and Testing Hypotheses Identifying and Controlling Variables Measurement and Data Collection Materials Needed: Paper; 2 other papers you choose; SNB; Data page Directions: Your group has to make a decision: What are you TESTING? Which type of paper for the paper airplane flies the farthest? Once you have decided, your group needs to complete the SM template in your SNB. (Observe, Question, Hypothesis, Procedures/ Test, Results/ Data, Conclusion) Once your group is ready to test, your teacher will show you where to go. The taped distance is 15 feet, but you will need to record the distance your airplanes travel. (one block = 1 foot) When all the trials are completed, return to your lab table and complete the data table. The Data table will be checked for an individual GRADE! GLUE IN for NOW!
