2 Activity: Structure of a Lesson Plan using the lesson plan templates and the materials provided decide what you think is important to include in a lesson plan What do you notice? Be prepared to share your findings with the class

3 How To Write A Lesson Plan Include the following parts: –Name of the Lesson –Objective of the Lesson - Learning Goals –Materials you will need for the lesson –Introduction - the "Before" part of the lesson –Activities - the "During" part of the lesson –Consolidation - the "After" part of the lesson (includes any homework assignments)

4 Assignment: Create a Lesson Plan Create a leson plan for an activity in a subject of your choice You must incorporate strategies related to your learning style/multiple intelligences If you have not completed the Multiple Intelligences Quiz, it is advised that you do it now to help you with this assignment (it should be handed in as part of the assignment) you will be expected to hand in a draft of your assignment for feedback and then complete a good copy for assessment

5 Example Ideas: If your two top intelligences were logical- mathematical and bodily-kinesthetic, you might choose to teach about intgers by using virtual manipulatives If you are a visual learner, you might choose to teach about animals through different pictures or paintings
