Drawing styles Oblique, Isometric, Planometric, Perspective
2
Oblique drawing This is a very simple style of drawing.
Draw a dice, a house and a wedge of cheese in this style.
3
Isometric drawing This is a good drawing style for showing many sides of an object. Draw a dice, a house and a wedge of cheese in this style.
4
Planometric drawing This is drawn in a similar way to isometric but at a steeper angle. It is a good style for showing interior design ideas.
5
Perspective drawing One point Perspective
Place a vanishing point on your page (shown here in red). Height is shown by vertical lines. Width is shown with horizontal lines. Depth is shown by lines aiming towards the vanishing point.
6
Perspective drawing Two point Perspective
Place two vanishing points onto your pages close to the sides.
7
Perspective drawing Two point Perspective
Introduce the vertical leading edge to your drawing.
8
Perspective drawing Two point Perspective
Draw lines pointing to the vanishing points.
9
Perspective drawing Two point Perspective
Add further vertical lines. As they get closer to the vanishing point, make sure that you draw them closer together. Rub out unnecessary lines.
10
Perspective drawing Two point Perspective
Add detail to your drawing to make it into a row of shops. Remember for height draw vertical lines and for depth draw lines that go towards the vanishing points.

Homework: Complete your drawing in colour. Try to add more complex aspects such as pavements and flats above the shops.
