Task: 3.2: Task Objectives (1) “Bring more innovation to the public procurement procedures for ITS” Support the public procurers in ITS in Europe in understanding which instruments exist for the deployment of ITS for procurers in Europe and what are the key elements, with special focus on the PCP (based on P3ITS – methods for supporting and procuring innovation) how policy mix strategies (combination of R&D funding, PCP, commercial procurement, other methods, know-how exchange platforms,…) can be developed (giving some best-practices examples) how it can be beneficial for the cost-efficient deployment of ITS how the procedures should be applied more in general: raising awareness for PCP (and related instruments) in order to widespread the use of PCP (and other instruments,) which support the deployment of innovation P4ITS Network-Meeting – 3 rd /4 th of February 2015, Brussels

Task: 3.2: Task Objectives (2) Update the P3ITS handbook, including an overview of different procurement instruments for ITS deployment, more than PCP, giving a broader view on the topic (based on the P3ITS deliverable on different methods for supporting and procuring innovation) and based on lessons learned from current activities Monitoring and reporting on PCP (and PPI, where possible) activities related to ITS (and develop a set of lessons learned) Organising dedicated info days, also giving an overview on existing instruments (with special focus on PCP), including best-practice exchange Disseminate the PCP handbook at events P4ITS Network-Meeting – 3 rd /4 th of February 2015, Brussels
