Eaten raw Western people like to have salads which are made of raw vegetables such as tomatoes, lettuces, and cucumbers seasoned with oil and vinegar. Uncooked vegetables are considered to be more nutritious than cooked ones.

They are convenient to eat, but may be less nutritious than fresh foods although some foods pack more vitamins and minerals when canned. Frozen foods are foods stored at very low temperature. Frozen vegetables often have more vitamins than fresh vegetables since they are in the icebox within hours of picking.
