2. Goals ▪Upgrade existing test stand in 165 ▪Have a unified testing application throughout the RF stands ▪Verify the functionality and stability of the hardware and software: cold test ▪Keep the QPR system in a working state until it is upgraded ▪Total deployment time: 2 weeks

3. What’s changed? ▪Beckhoff PLC ▪Readout of analog signals: Bfield, pressure controller, vacuum gauge, He level, radiation ▪Control of two TDK Lambda power supplies (heaters) ▪New: spectrum analyzer, radiation monitor ▪New: network switch. Outlet 02 fixed ▪New: 24’’ screen ▪Interlock box: radiation level and alarm ▪Signal generator powered independently and accesible via Ethernet

4. What’s where? ▪Ethernet: PLC, spectrum analyser, signal generator (switch) ▪GPIB: 2x Keithley multimeters, lakeshore, switchbox ▪USB: Agilent power supply, 3x power meters ▪High pressure gauge: no interface options at the moment

5. Main problems and actions ▪Network outlet damaged ▪Bad LabVIEW installation ▪HDF5 conflict ▪Signal generator driver & communication loss issues ▪GPIB congestion/slowness ▪No interlock interface ▪Fixed ▪Reinstalled ▪Python uninstalled ▪Moved to Ethernet, powered independently from interlock ▪Signal generator and Agilent no longer on GPIB ▪Analog signal routed to PLC ▪Deployment log available for future reference on JIRA (RADE-709 issue)

6. Worth mentioning ▪Radiation alarm ▪Cuts RF ▪No longer powers off signal generator ▪10-20 % hysteresis ▪Software latches RF off until alarm is gone ▪Evaporator ▪Fully controlled remotely ▪Warmup to setpoint. Automatic shutoff and SMS notification

7. Conclusions ▪Hardware and software upgraded ▪Unique software for Cryolab and V3 (+ V4, V6 in the future) ▪New functionality: check release notes ▪EDMS doc (CERN-0000154748) ▪QPR running as before
