7 Assignment As you are reading with your partner or groups, complete the Double Entry Journal handout. Additionally, take notes or annotate to further your understanding.

8 Teacher Main Points of Animal Farm Chapter 3 The animals have to complete their first harvest by themselves. The pigs don’t actually work; they just supervise The animals are happy Boxer is admired – his motto is “I will work harder!” Napoleon & Snowball never agree in the debates The pigs have created a headquarters for themselves Reading and writing classes are given to the animals – all of the animals can read or write to some degree

9 Teacher Main Points of Animal Farm Chapter 3 Pigs can read an write perfectly, dogs pretty well, Boxer and Mollie kind of, some farm animals can’t get past the letter ‘A’ The commandments are shortened to “Two legs bad, four legs good.” Napoleon takes the puppies and makes himself responsible for their education.
