2. My grandfather read to me every night when until I was in third grade. It made me feel important because he took the time out of his day to come over and read to me.

3. He loved to read and got so excited when he read the story Juan Bobo and the pig: four folktales from Puerto Rico.

4. One day he had a stroke and had to go to the hospital.

5. I visited him everyday because he still wanted to read to me.

6. The doctors his heart wasn’t in good shape and he shouldn’t read to me like he did because he was using too much energy.

7. About two months later he starting getting better. I believe it was because he was making me happy so he got good back into his life.

8. About two weeks later my grandfather died.

9. My grandfather showed me how interesting reading was and influenced me to love it too.
