This book shows how Martin used words to fight for equal rights for black people. Doreen Rappaport has taken the words of Martin Luther King, Jr. and woven in her own to create this book for young readers. Setting: Southern cities and towns in the United Sates during the time of slavery. Objective: Students will examine and compare Civil Rights Movement images with the text.
