Study period abroad (undergraduate programmes) Possible and recommended at all undergraduate programmes at the School of Culture and Global Studies Language and International Studies, English (LISE) Generally during the 4th or 5th semester upon aproval of credit transfer from the foreign university Who can help? Internship (or study period): Postgraduate programmes The following postgraduate programmes have an internship as part of their curriculum (9 th semester): Tourism: Internship (Denmark or abroad) OR study period at another university (Denmark or abroad) Culture, Communication and Globalization (CCG): Internship (Denmark or abroad) OR study period at another university (Denmark or abroad) Development and International Relations (DIR): internship abroad OR study period at another university abroad European Studies (ES): internship abroad OR study period at another university abroad

Rules and regulations In the curriculum: http://www.fak.hum.aau.dk/uddannelse/studieordninger http://www.fak.samf.aau.dk/uddannelse/studieordninger/ In the Internship and Study Abroad Guide in Moodle (9th semester) Length of the internship: maximum one semester. It is important to know that you cannot extend your period abroad. You will automatically be registered for your exam at Aalborg University the following semester (Thesis, 30 ECTS). If you receive a student grant from the Danish state, the payment of your grant depends on your exam registration.

Why go abroad? To prepare yourself for the labor market by applying theoretical knowledge in a professional setting (internship) To learn to handle cultural encounters in your future private and professional life To build up international friendships, relationships and professional networks that you can depend on for the rest of your life To move from: “I learned about” to “I experienced” To have fun
