Vocabulary to know: Face – a flat surface of a three dimensional figure. Edge – where two faces meet. Vertex – point where three or more edges meet.

Prism Definition: A three dimensional figure with two parallel, congruent bases. The base can be any polygon. The other faces must be parallelograms.

Pyramid Definition: A three dimensional figure with base, and faces made of triangles. The base can be any polygon.
