Where am I now?
2
My Original PLE My personal thoughts at the start of E-learning What did I know about E-learning? What did I do in E-learning? What was E-learning based on? Blogging My Blog Posts My personal view of E-learning My pedagogical view of E-learning The short course Interesting Quotes The Case study group Learning technologies I found interesting Social Bookmarking Reflection of E-learning Conclusion My final PLE
3
This PLE was based on my previous and some recent experiences
5
I had limited knowledge Did not know what to expect Could not get my head around all the assessment tasks (was very confusing) Was hoping to learn how to use applications for teaching or educational benefit
6
Blogging, Blogging and more Blogging Expanded my knowledge of communicating on the internet with my peers.
7
For me it was based on: my experiences Experimentation Reading some literature Information and ideas from colleagues
8
My new world of Blogging Confused at first Gained confidence as I went along
11
It has its advantages and disadvantages Can be useful for communicating The internet is a never ending body of information
12
It may be used in the Automotive trade It will never replace face to face teaching It may work well in blended delivery situation Captivate appears to be a relatively good extra teaching tool for trade students (Andrews presentation Assignment 3)

Goodtyping.com Some of the positive aspects of the course were that it could be done at my own leisure and in the comfort of my own home. This meant no travel to and from a college and that breaks were available at anytime Not enough time to complete correctly. Requires some form of study plan and self motivation
14
The effectiveness of E-learning courses can be jeopardised due to lack of communication, peer support or inadequate study plans. Roper (2007) states, “Without direct physical contact and interaction with other learners or an instructor, online students can lose their interest or motivation mid-way through their course or program”.
15
. Chin & Williams (2006, p.12) suggest that one of the great strengths of online learning is that there is greater scope for catering to individual needs which provides a scaffold for a truly holistic learning environment
16
A new perspective on implementing E-learning platforms for the trades sections of TAFE. Interesting working with group members form other trade backgrounds Gary Bradley Andrew Nancarrow Jason Miller

Faster and safer ways of keeping my research information

E-learning is a large area that should not be taken lightly. It is not going to disappear, it is here to stay. Looking back at the start of the course and feeling uncertain, it is amazing how far and quickly an individual can excel when they apply themselves. Blogging is a new way for me to communicate and may be useful to relay information such as class notes and images to my students.

The are many areas covered in this presentation. My PLE, personal and Pedagogical thoughts on E-learning are my opinion only, however there are quotes that back up my ideas and beliefs of E-learning. The things learnt in E-learning were interesting and I now have a broader idea of what it means to learn and communicate electronically with the use of Blogs. Carrying out the short typing course and case study in a group was also interesting as it broadened our minds with new ideas and beliefs. Comparing my Blog posts and PLE from the beginning of this E-learning course with the end result has shown that I have improved greatly in such a short time.
