Contacts When you launch Microsoft Outlook you will be placed in the “Outlook Today” screen from which you can go to all the various parts of Microsoft Outlook We have already examined the Mail and Calendar functions of Outlook. The Contacts function is one which we have already used. The mail part of Outlook stores its address book in the Contacts section However we can use it independently. You launch it by clicking here.

Calendar You can add to your contacts list out of Microsoft Outlook – Mail as mentioned however if you wish you can add a contact by going to the New button shown here.

Calendar You fill in the name here The display version of the name will be automatically filled in. Fill in the email address here If you have a picture of the person on file you can double click the icon and browse to it. Then it will be included as well

Calendar You can click on any of the other tabs across the top to add any other information you wish about this person When you are done. Click the Save and Close person and your contact information will be saved

Calendar You will be dropped back to the main screen where you can browse to any contact you wish If your list is long you can use the alphabetical index along the right hand side to go to surnames with the letter you choose.

Calendar If you wish to view detailed information on a particular contact, double click the name. In this case I double clicked Helmer Umpherville and the information screen on Helmer is presented for me to view or edit

Extras you might want to try Test yourself: Start up Outlook Contacts Set up new contact for me. My email address is gary.maunder_nsd@ saskschools.ca Make sure you save it
