1. Sarah Jo Ann Haagen

2. General Information  I was born in Hopkinsville, KY and then moved to Hardinsburg, KY where I lived all my life until coming to Bellarmine.  I graduated from Breckinridge County High School with a Commonwealth diploma.  I was 11 th in my class.  I recently changed my major here at Bellarmine from physical therapy to elementary education.  My mother is a special ed. Teacher for elementary grades and this is where I got my interest I believe.

3. Interests  I love animals and have two dwarf hamsters named Keeko and Stitch and a ball python named Dante.  I like almost any kind of music especially country and new age.  I’ve played the piano since I was about 5 or 6 and I played the flute from 6 th grade until senior year.  During high school I was in marching band and senior year I was the field commander.  I also love writing poetry and doing puzzles or arts and crafts.

4. Goals I plan on teaching elementary grade level children. I love young kids particularly kindergarten or first grade. A possible alternate route I am interested in is teaching special education or deaf/aural children. I want to be sure that all my students get to use computers and incorporate it with my lessons and their homework or practice every day.

5.
