Conclusion The hypothesis, having plants exposed to light for longer periods of time will result in more plant growth, is accepted. In this test the plants exposed to light for 16 hours were 27 cm on average after three weeks as opposed to the plants given 10 hours of light that were only 15 cm on average. This procedure is weak in the fact that there were only 6 plants per group and it would be better to have measurements over a period of time. In the future I would experiment on the effect that long periods of light has on different varieties of plants.
