3. Chevron Style Set-Up Pros: Gives the room a “classroom” feel. The speaker is able to move up and down the center of the room and reach individual participants. Promotes small group/table activities. Tablemates bond together. This set-up is great for a long series of classes with the same participants, as long as tablemates change at each session. Cons: Participants can’t see each other, especially those at the rear of the room. Some participants will be looking at the back of someone else’s head. If speaker walks to the back of the room for an extended period of time, those in the front need to turn around.
