13  As you read the poem, the article, and the novel excerpt, What can you conclude about being in a relationship?  Text Evidence: Here you will write exactly what the text (poem and article) say about how a person might be affected when he/she is in a relationship.  My Thinking: Here you will write your thoughts and feelings that you have about what you have read.  Remember our guiding question listed above in RED. PERFORMANCE TASK * Today you will read three pieces of texts: * Song Lyrics- “Young Love” * An article- “30 Percent of U.S. Teen Girls Meet Up With Online Strangers” * Novel Excerpt- “Until We Meet Again”

14  Today we will look back at: Song Lyrics: “Young Love” By: Chris Brown, The article: “30 Percent of U.S. Teen Girls Meet Up With Online Strangers.”  Then take a look at: A novel excerpt: “Until We Meet Again”  As we look at the pictures, song lyrics, article and novel excerpt, we will discuss the textual evidence and your thinking as a group and then as a class.  Students will receive a small pink paper that contains the constructed response grading rubric.—We will go over this, so students know what is expected of them.  Individually students will create a constructed response that answers the question “In what ways can relationships affect your life?”  Students will use the blank area on the back of their worksheet looking at the framework SEEC that guides them to create their response. PERFORMANCE TASK

15 COUNTY BENCHMARK RUBRICS FOR CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE AND EXTENDED RESPONSE QUESTIONS

16  In closing students will look at their constructed response grading rubric.  Students should read their constructed response and look at the rubric to analyze their response quality.  The PINK constructed response rubric must be attached to their worksheet.  Students will turn in their D.R.A.W lesson with PINK rubric form attached.
