15. » Additional Information ˃Students should know the following terms as part of their training  Corrosive – the eating away of flesh or metal in a chemical reaction  Flammable – the ability to catch fire  Oxidizing – the ability of a substance to assist in the burning of a material when exposed to oxygen  Reactive – the ability of a substance to react violently (by itself) when knocked or exposed to temperature or pressure
